Astrup Drug was founded by Leonard Astrup in 1952 in Austin, MN. Leonard’s smart business sense, investment philosophy, and hard work made him a successful businessman. More importantly, Leonard was a man with a strong faith and very strong values of marriage and family. Leonard was extremely committed and loyal and was surrounded by many great employees, business partners, and customers throughout the years. Astrup Drug has grown considerably over the years, with the addition of new stores and other companies as well.
Our Mission & Values
The Astrup Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, focuses it’s giving on preserving family values, commitment to their Christian faith, the value of education, supporting selected healthcare initiatives and building strong communities. The Foundation seeks to help other non-profits impact individuals and their communities.
Our Program Goals
Providing opportunities for individuals/groups in the areas of faith, education, service, and mission.
Support of healthcare initiatives focused on (but not limited to) dementia, epilepsy, and mental illness.
Assisting (primarily) Midwest communities following natural disasters.
Supporting programs that strengthen individuals and build strong communities.
Making a difference for others less fortunate, including the poor and the homeless, by giving them opportunities that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to do.
